Song of the Day 11/09/11: Jimmy Eat World – Drugs or Me

To anyone who’s ever had a friend with an addiction, this song strikes right to the heart.  I fell in love with Jimmy Eat World’s album, Futures, in high school and it has never left my list of perfect albums.  “Drugs or Me” is about how drugs can destroy a relationship.  It’s such a soft mellow song, and yet the building background noise and piano really fill it out, making for one epic hurt song.

Song of the Day 12/06/10: Fall Out Boy – What’s This?

In honor of the first snowflakes of winter for NYC.
One of my favorite cover songs of all time, if you’re not a fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas, then I don’t think we can be friends.  It’s funny because with few exceptions, I’m not a big fan of Fallout Boy.  I’m not a fan of their song writing, so obviously a cover would be my favorite.  Sing along and enjoy.
