Song of the Day 01/29/11: Dragonforce – Through the Fire and The Flames

Whenever I need a good laugh, I listen to Dragonforce.  Specifically, I watch the video for “Through the Fire and The Flames”.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s not to laugh at them, but with them.  Dragonforce is AWESOME.  If you don’t believe me just watch the first 30 seconds, and tell me the sheer speed of their guitars doesn’t make you laugh with glee.  Now, some will tell you that any self respecting Dragonforce fan has to hate this song because it’s “played out.”  Lemme tell you something, the reason it’s played out is because it’s so freaking awesome you can’t just listen to it once.  Even while watching it on video you still think, “How are these guys cheating to play so fast??  They must be cheating!  This isn’t human!”

My point is, “Through the Fire and The Flames” is amazing, and can never be played out.  So if you’ve never heard it, crank it up and laugh because there’s no other reaction to this awesomeness.  And if you have heard it, do the same thing anyway.  My personal favorite thing to do is blast it while playing Halo and let me tell you, the kills rack up extremely quick to this song.
